Ice Camp is a popular industry-leading education program that is open to the public and free of charge. There will be two locations for different parts of the Camp. It begins at 1:00pm at the Holiday Inn Conference Center in West Yellowstone with classroom instruction and demonstration of ice fishing equipment and techniques as well as safety, conservation and environmental stewardship.

Groups limited to 25 people or less, so classroom instruction will be by pre-registration only starting Dec. 15, 2020. Times will be 1:00pm, 1:30pm, 2:00pm & 2:30pm with each group heading on-ice after each session. Face masks and social distancing required in classroom. One parent will be allowed per family to allow for as many children as possible in the guidelines.

The classroom instruction and demonstration will cover ice fishing equipment, techniques, safety, conservation & environmental stewardship. At the Kirkwood Marina everyone heads out onto the ice for demonstrations delivered by experienced, certified NAIFC Pro-Staff instructors.

Before leaving, all kids who participate also will receive a snack and complimentary ice rod. Make sure to dress warmly including waterproof footwear for this outside event. Parents must accompany their kids during this event. It is an outdoor event, so please dress for the weather.
