Plan to be in town Thursday night before the tournament, this way your pre-fishing during the tournament hours 7:30 am to 2:00 pm on Friday.

Plan to stay Saturday evening so that if you’re in the money or the raffle you can win the prize and take it with you. You must be present to win any prize.

Come prepared! We are 2 hours away from common suppliers.

  • Bring a back-up critical items:
  • Auger, Extra blades, batteries or hand auger
  • Rods, reels, line, lures
  • Bait, cooler to protect bait from the cold
  • Cold weather clothing, complete spare gloves, hats, bibs, coat, hand heaters, socks, boots
  • Propane heaters, propane cylinders Tents, transportation spare parts.

    • Wheeled vehicles do not fair well in the snow and slush. Snowmobiles are the best plan, call ahead to rent and tell them your plan. Backcountry Adventures allowes sleds to go on ice on the lake. Remember you can not come across the ice to compete the day of the tournament.

  • No Airboats Allowed
  • Snow-Dogs are allowed
  • Snowmobiles must be licensed in the state where you reside. If you ride the trails there are state tags that are required! Do not break the law, ride with the correct permits.

    • We are going to be fishing in the 2024 license season and rules. Know them and obey them or you may be disqualified.

    Shelters may not be left on the ice from Jan 3-4th

    2 hooks per line and two rods per angler can be used. It's the law.

    6 fish are to be weighed, this means each angler must catch a weighable fish be cause the limit is 5 fish. Ethical behavior is expected and it’s the law, 5 fish limit.
