KIDS ICE CAMP™

Ice Camp is a popular Two-part education program that is open to the public and it is free of charge thanks to generous donations of private individuals and participants in the Hebgen Lake Ice Fishing Tournament, (HLIFT). Pre-registration is required. www.kidsnsnow.org

First time participants 13 years old to 5 year old children will receive some fishing tackle at the Friday night meeting. This meeting begins at 5:00pm at the Visitor Center in West Yellowstone. In this meeting we review Safety, Ethics, Conservation and Techniques.

Saturday Morning at 9:00 am we meet and drill holes and fish for 3-4 hours at the Yellowstone Holiday RV Marina , 16990 Hebgen Lake Rd, West Yellowstone, MT 59758 All though the camp is focused on first time fisherman and families, if you have attended previously and wish to volunteer to help others fish your help would be greatly appreciated. No pets, No Smoking or drinking alcohol will be allowed by adults at this camp. We recommend bringing your own food and beverages.

Kid’s-N-Snow is about getting kids out in the outdoors finding way not to fear the elements but using them to facilitate friendships and family based activities. We attempt to do four camps a year in 2024-2025 this season it is Dec, 20-21, Jan 3-4, Jan 31-Feb -1 and Feb-28-March 1

The only thing that stops us is ice conditions less than 6” and temps colder than -10f
